You have probably heard about the idea that you if you have strong enough desires you can manifest your desires. One of the seven spiritual laws of success states that if you focus your intention and desire you set the infinite potentiality of the universe in motion for you. You may have even tried focussing and desiring, but like many people who have tried manifestation, that new car on your drive or the $10,000 check in the mail, failed to appear.
What you probably don't realise is that you are already an expert in manifestation and that you are already manifesting what you truly desire...
How to be an expert in the spiritual law of manifestation
Yes that's right you are already an expert in the law of manifestation, but you just don't realise it!
Let’s look at how manifestation works. The instructions seem to be quite simple: focus your intention and your desire and you will manifest whatever you truly desire. However there are some potential pitfalls that can cause you some problems.
The catch with manifestation in the seven spiritual laws of success is that you end up getting the sum of everything you think about.
You need to be very sure what you are focussing on. Your mind is always focussing on something, it is always seeking to achieve something. At times those things can be simple practical objectives like getting up in the morning, getting the weekly groceries, at other times we focus on bigger ideas, our life purpose, our goals.
It’s unlikely that you have a problem achieving the simple objectives, so why don’t you achieve the bigger objectives?
Don’t spend too much time focussing on the wrong things!
You need to look more closely at what you are focussing on. As you do this you will find that you focus on a lot of negative stuff as well as the positive stuff. The kind of negative thoughts you might have could be doubt that you can achieve your objective, fear that you may not be worthy, expectation that you are going to fail…
The effect of negative thoughts is that you end up focussing on something that you don’t want – to think about failure or doubt or fear you have to form a picture of something that you don’t want. While you are thinking in this negative way, that then becomes the desire you are focussing on – and you get what you don’t want.
Another variation on this theme is to focus on positive things in a negative way – for example “I want to be accepted” can become “I don’t want to be rejected”. Again, to express the negative you have to focus on the thing you don’t want and again you end up getting just that result.
You’ve seen that you are really an expert in manifesting whatever you truly focus on and desire. There are two problems – you may be focussing in the wrong way and you are unconsciously focussing on what you don’t want. You need to be very careful in choosing what you focus on and in making sure that you stay focussed throughout the day.
