Internet Marketing Basics Part 3 - Changing your mindset and setting goals |

In my previous articles on 'Internet Marketing Basics' I discussed the need for a basic understanding on the fundamentals of how money is actually made online, and the assistance finding a 'mentor' can provide. In this article I wish to focus on the importance of gaining the correct mindset for internet marketing and setting realistic goals via the assistance of a 'learning structure'. Confidence in attaining riches is definitely a concept which originates in the mind, and is a key attribute of the successful internet marketer. Planning and setting goals are vital with learning internet marketing online as there are so many distractions- which are in fact often examples of effective internet marketing.
Many of you have no doubt heard of the book 'Think and Grow Rich', in which Napoleon Hill analysed the 500 most affluent and wealthy people of his time, and summarised the crucial ingredients which provided their path to riches. At the root of these success stories lay a positive and persistent mindset filled with confidence in the fact that one day riches would come. This holds true for any business- internet marketing included. Without an initial self-belief in what you intend to achieve, any slight obstacle along the way may derail you from your course of getting rich.
Internet Marketing is still a relatively new niche or profession. There are very few colleges or universities which teach the most efficient methods within internet marketing. One needs to structure one's learning- preferably with the assistance of an online learning course- and apply the same diligence and commitment that one would associate with a college or university course.
If you were to join an internet marketing course such as the Profit Lance system, it could be advised that the first few months be dedicated solely to reading the materials, and learning the basics. An understanding of each individual money making system (to be discussed in later articles) is important before embarking on any serious campaigns. On this note, whatever learning system you choose, it is vital to practically apply what you are learning along the way: we as humans retain 10% of what we read, and 90% of what we do.
Whilst this article may appear off-topic, there is no doubt achieving a confident positive mindset and setting goals are important ingredients in the success of any online business. In the next article I will focus on the individual methods of making money online.
