Improve The Quality Of Your Work Through An It Certification |
Are you an IT professional? Maybe you are looking to improve the quality of your work, or maybe just seal your job security at your current employment, an IT certification may be the solution.
There are many different types of IT certifications which can increase your resume and give yourself the recognition you need in the industry. One of the most recognized certifications is the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE). With this certification an IT professional will enhance their knowledge of the Windows 2003 platform. Be prepared to be tested on items such as:
Administering Windows XP professional
Managing a Server 2003 Network
Implementing Network Infrastructure
Administering SQL Server 2000
Managing Exchange Servers
So why would anyone decide to put themselves through more study hours, stress, and exams? Well, the benefits for the IT professional can be great. I look at it as why would anyone go to college? The reasons are obvious. Each student increases their knowledge of industries in which they plan to specialize, give their resume the extra assistance to get their foot in the door for an interview, and of course the most obvious, to make more money.
An IT certification is built to do the same thing for the IT professional. However, in the IT industry, things change very quickly. The working professional doesn’t have a choice but to keep up, otherwise their skills become outdated, which can be risky. IT certifications are designed to give workers the training they need on the latest and greatest technology; in doing so employers are able to provide the best services to their clients. An employee who proves to their employer that they can do the job through their education and professional skills will have a greater opportunity for success in their career than those who choose to do without. An IT certification serves as that extra boost over competition in the job market.
There are many different types of IT certifications, each will allow an IT professional to specialize in certain areas; however IT professionals are encouraged to gain as much knowledge as possible. Other certifications include:
Cisco CCNA
Novell CNA
CompTIA A+
CompTIA Linux +
Each certification earned will increase and enhance skills of IT professionals, giving them the upper hand in their work.
